Is Holiday Lighting bonded and insured?

You can rest assured that Holiday Lighting is bonded and insured. We have been installing Holiday Lighting for many years without any incidents, but if the need arises, your property is completely covered under our insurance.

When installing Holiday Lighting how much notice do you need?
For obvious reasons the more time we have the better. We even give discounts for early bookings and early Holiday Lighting installation. It is important to remember that the Holiday Lighting season is a short one. We start installing Holiday Lighting the middle of October and install until the middle of December.

Please book your installation early to assure availability, we only have so many spots open because it is such a short season. We do free bids year round so it's never to early to call for a bid or to schedule your installation.

Can you tell me when you are coming to do our Holiday Lighting installation?
Yes, you will know when we are coming for your installation. Please call the front gate if you live in a gated community so that we do not have trouble getting into your housing area. If we can not get in, we will have to reschedule your installation, we do not have the luxury of waiting at the front gate for your return. Weather will play a role in your Holiday Lighting installation, for obvious reasons we do not work in the rain (we want to be safe). If it is raining we will reschedule your appointment.

What is Holiday Lighting's service policy?
We provide all the decorations; all we really need from you is sufficient electricity. When we install your decorations they will be in working order. Our lights are guaranteed for one season. One free bulb/light set replacement or timer service call is included (icicle lights excluded) in your holiday lighting package. If we are called out and customer has a non-functioning electrical outlet there will be a service call fee. We cannot warranty any service work if customer adds their own decorations, and many times when customers add to our work it will blow the circuit. We do not warranty any service work created by vandalism, neglect, or extraordinary weather conditions such as high winds, down pore rains, these conditions will be billed for a service call.

Pay to the Order of: Woody's Holiday Lighting. For your convince we also take credit cards.

How is payment handled?
When you sign the service agreement, we will take a small deposit. The balance will be collected at the time of completion of the installation.

Will Holiday Lighting take down the lights at the end of the season?
Yes, these lights are temporary and being rented so our service includes taking them down.

You will not have to store them, we make it as easy as possible for you. We will remove your lights after the 1st of January. Your lights will be taken down as quickly as possible, if you have a special event, or for some reason you want them up a little longer, please let us know.

We take down the lights in geographical order and understand that many areas have home owners associations that require them down within a time frame it is our goal to meet and exceed that time frame.

Do you keep the lights or do I?
You do not keep the lights, you are renting them, therefore we will be keeping and storing them. This makes is as easy as possible for you because you will not have to store them.

Yes we do, we take Visa, Master Card, and American Express.

Do I need to be at home to get a bid?
Yes, if you are a new customer. It is not necessary for our existing customers.

Do I need to be home for you to do the install?
No, although it is preferred. We understand that our clients are busy people and may not be home while our crews are doing the installation. If you are not going to be home we just ask that you have the electricity turned on.
Some homeowners control it from a switch on the inside of the home.

It is important for obvious reasons that all the outlets are in operating order, if they are not we may have to reschedule your install date. If for some reason the power is only on partly and we have to come back we may add on a service charge to come back out and get them all working properly. If you are home we will show you the properly working lights before we leave.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we do offer a discount to residential clients that allow us to install their lights in October. Save by booking and installing early.

What is your radius of business?
We cover the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County, to include Simi Valley, Moorpark, Westlake, Thousand Oaks, Lake Sherwood, Hidden Valley, Sherman Oaks, Northridge, Woodland Hills, West Hills, Encino, Agoura, Calabasas, Tarzana, Canoga Park, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Chatsworth, Granada Hills, Beverly Hills, Bel Air and many other cities. If you have a home or office that is not in our coverage area it does not mean we won't take care of you. Give us a call and depending on the size and the install date we will do our best to accommodate you.

What kind of lights do you provide?
Click here for pictures of the various kinds of lights we provide. The standard size for roof and ground lighting is C-7. These are fairly large bulbs (a little over an inch in length, and about 3/4 inches in diameter - about the size of a large walnut). For trees and other greenery, we provide mini-lights (about 3/4 inches in length, and a little less than 1/4 inch in diameter). For a slight price increase for roof and ground lighting, we can also provide C-9 lights. These bulbs are larger than C-7 lights (about 2 inches in length and about an inch in diameter). Also available for a slight price increase for roof lighting are icicle lights (mini-lights that connect in short strands that hang from the roof line). Please note that all service calls for icicle lights, without exception, are subject to a minimum $20 service call fee.

What if I have my own lights?
As a company we do not work with lights that clients currently own. We don't know if all of the lights will work properly. They can be tangled and time consuming to figure out what goes where. Because our season is so short we try to streamline all of our procedures which in the process allows us to give our clients a better price. Often if you have commercial grade lights we will be able to use it but will have additional charges if our crews need to repair lights or replace broken light sets.
